For those of you who bought this kit, how is the build quality of the watch? Can I expect something more than cheap parts?
Considering to get this for Christmas, so any advice would be appreciated!
I got both of the basic version and the diver version. The build quality of the basic version is pretty basic, not really a fan of acrylic crystal but it’s really a factor of the vintage form factor. All in all it is definitely a notch above the other cheap watches. Movement is also genuine miyota too.
As for the diver, it’s completely blew me away. Absolutely a steal. I still can’t believe the build quality is on par, if not better, then most of the diver out there, and I assembled it myself. Looks absolutely gorgeous on my wrist. And I get a lot of people asking me where I got this watch, and they often guess a price way higher than what the kit costs. Just blows my mind
The dive watch I have is definitely very good. Doesn’t look DIY at all. I tell people all the time that I made the watch and they think I’m bullshiting. That’s how good it is
