I recently purchased a DIY kit with the miyota 8315 movement. I got to the hand alignment step and performed the hour hand and date check and found that the date would move ahead when the hour hand reached 9 PM.
I realigned a few times and made sure to install the hand at 12 after manually adjusting the date forward but the date just keeps moving ahead at 9 PM. I’m thinking I may have messed up somewhere during the movement installation.
Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?
EDIT: Turns out no issue at all, I re-watched the hand installation video and realized I completely misunderstood the step about the setting the date while the stem was in the time change position
