Date help on diver

First time putting together a watch using a NH35 with date.

So i pull the crown and turn till i get a new date. From there i installed my hour hand ar the 12 and test the date function. When i turn the hour hand it doesn’t change the date until after 24 hours until 2 oclock.

i thought that the date would change in between 11 to 12 by the hour hand? Am i doing something wrong?

Sounds like an inaccurate hand installation. First thing first, it takes time for the date to transition on the NH35, around 1-2 hr. So it sounds like for your watch the date starts to transition around 12 midnight and then with slight inaccuracy with installation finishes at 2.

I guess the way to go is to try reinstalling the hands.
