Is it possible to do it myself? Don’t mind ruining the case (of course nicer if that’s not the case). I suppose I should get a grinding wheel?

sounds interesting if you ignore the risk. i would expect needing to rebuff the whole case from ground up. it never works with just one try. always one scratch too many.
