I am not even new to watch moding yet
I would like to know the best/easy
while use as many original parts on a watch to modify it…
I just ordered a basic tool kit and stowage.
So I have a Chinese watch from late 1990s to early 2000’s. I haven’t taken the back off so I don’t know which movement it is.

Green 1-12 hour indices
White 12-24 inner
White stick hour and minutes hands

On case back plate is

What want to do is mod it to a mid 70’s
tongji look alike homage

base medal case
(remove paint, polish to bright finish)
White dial
(clean dial of all markings, paint white)
Add
Black 12 6 9 numbers (painted/stickers)
Black baton indices (painted/stickers)
may have florescent markers
outside of hour indeces
Outer ring of black minute indices
3 o’clock date window
Modify existing
Stick hands (black)
(paint ones on it but leave florescent)
Needle shape second hand (black)
(paint the one on it)
Add
All Chinese characters painted on
Under 12 o’clock indice 我手錶
Above 6 o’clock indice 17 钻
With 防水 under jewel count
or
With 防震 under jewel count

Engraved on back plate centered
