I recently purchased a watch with the NH70A movement in it. It worked great but then I noticed if I left it laying on my dresser by the next morning it would be stopped. I thought maybe it needed to be wound so I did. That still did not fix the issue. I read that this could be due to magnetism so I attempted to demagnetize the watch (I think that the rotor is/was the source of the magnetization). Now the watch will intermittently run very fast and if I lay it flat on a table or anywhere for more than 5-10 minutes, the second hand will stop. If I bump it or at all vibrate it, even without moving the rotor, the balance wheel will immediately begin spinning very fast and then slowly return to normal speed. If I then place the watch down again, it will again eventually stop again. It keeps fairly accurate time as long as it is being worn. I laid it on my desk for about 15 minutes today while I had to do something and by the time I had come back, it had stopped already. Any advice?
