Not Sure if I'm placing Movement Correctly into Movement Holder

Hello!

I purchased this pilot watch kit: DIY Watchmaking Kit | PVD Black 40mm Pilot Watch with date | F01 (Stan – DIYWATCH Club

I’m on the step where I place the movement into the holder and I’m terribly stuck. A few questions I have
[1] If I put the movement into the holder is it supposed to be really easy to pop it back out?
[2] When I place the movement into the holder the rotor no longer spins freely… Doesn’t that mean it isn’t correctly and I shouldn’t proceed with the next step?
[3] How do I know how “deep” to push the movement into the holder?

I answered myself!!! Ultimately the face of the movement needs to be exactly flush with the case holder so my initial placement wasn’t “deep” enough.

In the end you want the dial to be exactly flush with the movement. When I placed my dial on I ended up needing to push on it some which pulled the dial, the movement, and movement holder together. My movement was deeper in the holder and the dial was flush.

I have the same watch kit, and have had the same problem, that is, the movement doesn’t sit flush with the movement holder. One side is higher than the other, and I have pushed pretty hard, but i am afraid of pushing down too hard as to damage the movement. It is almost like the holder is a fraction too small. Anyone have tips on getting the movement flush? Thanks.
