The video doesn’t address this. Should the stem be removed prior to attaching dial to movement. Reason being it has to be removed prior to installing to watch case.
The stem should remain in place until the dial and all the hands are placed properly. You may remove the temporary stem but it is not suggested unless you know the right stem length and the stem properly glued to the crown.
