Hi everyone, I’m a bit stumped. I put my diy pilot watch together yesterday. I chose the Miyota 8315 movement, when I was setting it up the winding stem seemed to turn stiff but thought nothing of it. Now when I try to set the time, as I turn the crown there is a click before it will start to turn. It feels like it’s stuck on some thing but I can’t imagine what. Any help would be appreciated before I break the movement.
Have you tried to remove and reinstall the crown?
Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried removing the crown and replacing it with the movement out of the case and it worked fine, so I tried re setting the seconds hand and that seemed to fix it. I think it wasn’t seated all the way. Only time will tell (pun intended).
