VDO3 diver stem won’t engage

Assembly of watch went great, but stem will not fully engage and lock with movement installed in case. Works great when not in the case. When I pull crown out to set watch, it comes completely out of watch, also does not able to set the time. Works perfectly with movement held in hand while not in case. It seems as if stem is just slightly too short for this case.

I am having this exact issue with the 40mm diver. When I have the stem and crown in the movement without the case it functions exactly as you would expect but when I put the movement into the case and reinsert the stem and crown it will wind but won’t set time and if you try to put into into time setting position it will just fall right out.

I am having the same issue. Crown will not engage when the watch is assembled. Only engages when the movement is outside the case.

I was able to fix this issue. There is a small spring that you press on to release when you are pulling the stem out when it is just in the movement without the case. When you insert the stem into the watch with the case, once the stem is fully in you have to push this spring back into the motion of the watch. They were able to send me an informative video of how to do it when I contacted their help line at jeff@diywatch.club. I hope that helps!
