watch crown cannot reach the winding position after everything is installed

Hi, I have a diver watch without date (NH72 movement), I checked everything before I installed the movement into the case, it works perfectly. But after installing the movement into the case, I cannot reach the “winding” position unless I screw down the crown completely. I am not sure if the crown is too short or there’s other things wrong. Urgently need help as this is a bday gift to a friend.

Looks like a short stem. Could you email me at jeff@diywatch.club? I’ll have a replacement stem and crown sent out to you immediately

Maybe I’ve a similar problem. The watch is ready (all installed) and the first time I pull out the crown to set the hour I can’t push it in newly ( nor date position nor winding position)!

Any suggestions? Thank you.
